Turkey Electric Energy Production Statistics: April 2020
İSTANBUL (Energy) – Solar Energy Investors Society (GÜYAD) evaluated the data related to electric energy as of end of April 2020.
Electric Energy Production of Our Country as of end of April 2020 According to Primary Sources:
When compared, 2019 and 2020 end-April data for electric energy production according to primary sources seem unchanged. However, looking at the percentage of production, it is concluded that
>>percentage of production of fossil fuels such as imported coal, natural gas and lignite are reduced;
>>percentage of production from hydraulic and renewable sources are increased.
According to primary sources, our country’s Electrical Energy Production Installed Power as of April 2020:
When the data of installed power for electrical energy generation by primary sources is reviewed, hydraulic, natural gas and lignite are seen to rank as top three.

When the data of installed power is reviewed on percentage basis, and compared to 2019 data, change in the data is seen to be very small. In addition, the first five ranking of the installed power on source basis as of end –April comes up as follows:
Hydraulic (31,27), natural gas (28,09), renewable (17,88) (geothermal, wind, sun, and waste and garbage), lignite (11,06) and imported coal (9,82).
The share of Solar Energy in Total Electrical Energy Generated as of the end of April 2020 was 3,03%.
The share of the Solar Energy İnstalled Power as of end-April 2020 in Total Electrical Energy 6,69%.
The share of Solar Energy by month in Total Electrical Energy Generated as of 2019 came off as follows:
When we compare the share of Solar Energy in Total Electrical Energy Generated by April 2019 and 2020, we see that it went up from 3,48 GWh to 4,48 GWh.
